Braintree Town Hall

I care deeply about this beautiful piece of earth I call home. I want East Braintree, and all of Braintree, to be a healthy and inclusive place NOW and for the generations who come after us. I am proud to serve as your District 3 Town Councilor as of January 3, 2022.

Meet Elizabeth

Elizabeth's Profile

I grew up the youngest (and bossiest) of four girls. At ten years old, I organized a backyard fair to raise funds for a neighborhood playmate who was ill. I raised $17 that day and was bitten by the public service bug. I spent 25 years in non-profit leadership positions addressing social issues that impact the lives of families and children, and now teach about these issues as an adjunct faculty member at various Boston colleges. I moved to Braintree in 2011 when I married my husband Stephen, who has been working for the Braintree Public Schools Transportation Department for over 20 years. Together we opened a small business in 2018 operating at the Braintree Farmers Market. I am an active supporter of the Fore River Residents Against the Compressor Station (FRRACS) , opens external page, Sustainable Braintree , opens external page, the Braintree Democratic Town Committee , opens external page, and the Massachusetts Coalition to End Puppy Mills , opens external page.

Key Priorities

East Braintree is our home and it’s worth protecting for generations.

We deserve to live in a welcoming community that is accessible to all.

Elected officials must demonstrate careful fiscal stewardship of town resources.

Liz not only talks the talk but walks the walk. She is a woman of action. Prior to stepping up as a candidate for district councilor, Liz has been outspoken on issues that impact health, safety and inclusion in her neighborhood. She is a champion for East Braintree.

Lisa Fiske Heger, Former Chair of the Braintree School Committee

Elizabeth is smart, tough, and ready to lead. She’ll be an amazing councilor for Braintree.

Matt O’Malley, Boston City Councilor

Liz is a smart, fierce, and loyal advocate for our neighborhood’s health and safety, especially related to dangers such as the compressor station.
